About Port Elizabeth Golf Club

South Africa's second oldest registered club, registered in 1890, is located in the heart of Port Elizabeth and is considered to be Port Elizabeth's most premiere club. Scant minutes away from both beaches, accommodation and hotels in Port Elizabeth, the course afford golfers visiting the city the convenience of playing a round and still having the time to schedule other activities in the area.

Front and back nines share the Par 72 equally although the Eastern Province Golf Association has officially rated the Parkland course's 6117 meters as a 71.

The multiple doglegs, tree lined fairways and shrubby roughs have resulted in the course also being one of the most challenging in the country. The course also has plenty of water hazards and sand traps that stand eagerly awaiting your wayward shots! In recent years the club has added putter bent grass which has improved the greens significantly.

The “Hill” as the club is known locally invites all golfers to come and join in the legacy of the game by both playing a round here and enjoying time in their spacious, history filled clubhouse with their 1100 friendly members. The club, as would you would expect provides the full set of facilities.
