About Artisan Contemporary Gallery

Housed in Artisan Contemporary Gallery‘s purpose-built, light-filled space is the finest representation of South African art and exquisitely executed craft. Drawing on her more than 20 years‘ experience as a gallerist and her chairmanship of the provincial branches of the Crafts Council and of the Potters Association, Sue personally scrutinizes each artist or crafter‘s work before deeming it fit for a place in her gallery.

All of which means that when you purchase an item from Artisan you are not simply buying an artwork: You are buying a work of art - a piece that is truly representative of the best that South Africa has to offer and which lives up to Sue Greenberg‘s stated philosophy that "Art is an Investment in the Quality of Life".
