Nestled in its own rocky amphitheatre, high on a hilltop in Honingklip and with a glorious view over the rolling foothills of the Cradle of Humankind World Heritage Site, lies Apricot Hill Farm.
Apricot Hill is an affordable farmstay or just for a breakaway from the City for a weekend of leafy green gardens, the call of hunting jackal at dusk and the soft “Hooo-o” of our resident Eagle Owl.

Location is lovely, however the cottage itself was rather small considering we were a family of four with a pet. Eventually left for another place as we couldn't stay for entire duration without feeling cramped. Make sure to check if you're bringing pets as although it is listed as pet friendly there are only certain cottages that are set up for this. Furnishings could also be updated but otherwise host was good and accommodating as far as possible.
