Riverwild 4x4 in Nelspruit is one of the leading off-road experiences in South Africa. The trail is driven by participants in their own vehicles under guidance of their experienced marshals. The trail has different sections with a variety of challenging natural obstacles, each with its own character and each offering varying degrees of difficulty. These obstacles include river crossings, mud sections, steep ascents and descents and plenty of rocky areas. For those who do not want to participate in the extreme sections, it is possible to take a detour.
Cross country drives and trips in the scenic surrounding forests are available for off-road vehicles without low range. The trails boast scenery of lush indigenous lowveld forests, magnificent wildlife and several fascinating Indo-African ruins. The Sudwala Caves and the Wonderkloof Hydro are also nearby. Experience breathtaking views along the Mpumalanga escarpment.
