Greenbushes, Port Elizabeth
The leafy area of Greenbushes comprises, as its name implies, vast stretches of Eastern Cape bushveld and is part of Port Elizabeth in Nelson Mandela Bay. It is parallel to the older portion of Cape Road (extending past the Makro complex), and is characterised by its medley of smallholdings, farms, farmhouses, informal settlements and dilapidated homes that are no longer in use.
There is a small industrial area in Greenbushes (called the Coega Industrial Development Zone), in which a number of businesses and factories operate. This is convenient as it is only about 25 minutes' drive from the centre of town and is on the outskirts of the residential areas of Port Elizabeth.
Greenbushes is scenic, with verdant vegetation and pretty views of the Lady's Slipper Mountain (a popular spot for hiking and walking). Shopping centres like Walmer Park and Greenacres are easily accessible and about 20 minutes' drive away. There are also a number of farm-style restaurants, and play areas for children in and immediately around Greenbushes.

I was back at Wedgewood on the 19th. Feb. 2018 and mentioned much more improvement than expected. The greens have been the best so far -- I was 6 weeks on the road -even compared with Simola, Pezula and St. Francis, that means a lot! I am wondering, that this course seems not to be on the radar of the foreign golfers, but this can change quickly, as many other courses are fully booked this season. I can highly recommend to play at Wedgewood. Karsten Voelz
