Mount Croix, Port Elizabeth
Flanked by Cape Road and the suburb of North End is the pretty, upmarket area of Mount Croix. This is nestled in the heart of Port Elizabeth, Nelson Mandela Bay, and is a popular choice amongst the up-and-coming families of the Eastern Cape as well as retirees looking for a scenic home in which to enjoy their time with family and friends.
Many of the elegant homes in this suburb boast gorgeous views of the Indian Ocean and the working harbour. The safe swimming beaches are within 10 to 15 minutes' drive from Mount Croix (via the highway), and provide stunning places in which to relax and soak up the sun.
Mount Croix is situated just behind the Provincial Hospital and Westbourne Road; with its many shops, boutiques and a few nightclubs. Cape Road is abuzz with restaurants and businesses too, making Mount Croix a particularly convenient suburb in which to spend your time in the Bay.
Just a few kilometres up Cape Road is the massive Greenacres Shopping Centre, which is one of the oldest and busiest centres in the Eastern Cape. It is brimming with plenty of shopping, dining and entertainment opportunities.
