When choosing our holiday destination last year, we really just wanted to get away from Johannesburg and go somewhere quiet and relaxing. We chose Blythedale Beach as we have friends nearby, and we really enjoyed our time here. The actual beach is awesome - it just goes on and on. The waters were so warm, which was great for those of us not used to the icy sea! Durban is an hour's drive away, so we could do the tourist thing when we were up to it, but we really just enjoyed chilling on the beach. We were utterly refreshed for the new year.
