A quiet and lovely suburb of Cape Town on the slopes of Table Mountain. It’s an area which is very close to just about everything. While we were visiting the council were busy building new bus stops for what I believe will be a very good bus service. Some establishments have beautiful views of the city and harbour and of course the whole chain of Table Mountain. The city centre is not too far away (can be reached on foot) and for the more adventurous there are lovely trails up the mountain also within walking distance. Unfortunately it can get very windy but who cares when one is surrounded by such beauty!

I recently visited Cape Town and stayed with friends in Vredehoek, it has some really lovely views (although it can be windy). We dined at Limoncello just down the road from where I was staying and it was fantastic.
