Dr. Clive Coetzee, the event organizer, expressed his excitement about the upcoming spectacle: “We are delighted to bring back the West Coast Airshow in 2025. This year’s lineup includes the renowned Marksmen Aerobatic Team, the Impala MK1 from TFSA, the high-speed L-29 Delfin Jet known as ‘Comin’ in Hot,’ and the iconic T-51D Mustang, among other exceptional performances. With the breathtaking coastal scenery as a backdrop, this promises to be an unmissable event for aviation enthusiasts and adventure lovers alike.”

To take advantage of Cape Town prime outdoor season, the airshow has been moved from October to March, ensuring a greater likelihood of favorable weather conditions.

Friday, March 21st:
The excitement begins on Human Rights Day, with gates opening at 12:00 pm. Spectators can witness validation flights in preparation for the main event while enjoying a variety of activities, including a Potjiekos Competition, a Drone Park, 4×4 demonstrations, a Kiddies Fun Park, and RC airplane displays.

Saturday, March 22nd:
Gates open at 6:00 am for a full day of action-packed entertainment. The main event, starting at 9:00 am, features over 20 awe-inspiring aerial performances, including fast jets, solo and formation flying, gliders, helicopters, skydiving, drone racing, precision Navy drills, and Rescue & CASEVAC demonstrations. Visitors will also have the unique opportunity to meet pilots and explore their aircraft up close during the lunch break - a chance to create unforgettable memories.

Beyond the aerial spectacle, attendees can browse an array of food vendors, arts and crafts stalls, and exhibitor showcases. Additional attractions include a FunFair Park for children, a Beer Garden & Gin Bar, a 4×4 track with live demonstrations, and much more. For those wanting to immerse themselves fully in the experience, both rough camping and glamping options are available on-site.
