Details

This is a wonderful and easy walk without the need for heavy shoes; choose between slip slops or barefoot - it's up to you. Walk the Wild Side coastline overlooking the rocky shoreline and intertidal zone. Take an interpretive and interactive look at the intertidal ecology of the Southern seashore and examine ancient middens.

8:00 am pick up at your place of residence in Port Elizabeth. We depart via the wild side coastline to the start of the walk, overlooking the southern ocean and continue for the rocky shoreline and intertidal zone. Here we take an interpretive and interactive look at the intertidal ecology of the Southern seashore. We examine and interpret a number of middens: ancient heaps of millions of discarded seashells left by the early Khoikhoi.

We stroll along the wide expanse of golden sand at Sardinia Bay before climbing up the sand dune to the vegetated top of the dunes, overlooking the beach and near shoreline. Here we keeping an eye out for wildlife and birdlife and investigate the plant adaptations in these picturesque surroundings as we return along the dune ridge overlooking the expanse of the ocean and the chance of spotting Dolphins and seasonal Whales.

We return you to your place of residence.
