About Apex Tours & Safaris

Apex Tours & Safaris was originally launched in 2005 by Albert Roos as Roos Transfers and Safaris and later rebranded to Apex Tours & Safaris. Under the umbrella of Apex Tours and Safaris, Albert branched out as Apex 4x4 Safaris and Apex Photographic Safaris with the intention of focussing on these niche markets of the tourism sector.

Typically focuses on larger wildlife- and cultural destinations of Limpopo, Mpumalanga, North West and Gauteng Provinces.

Apex Tours & Safaris was born from a deep passion and love for the African bush and a desire to share the beauty and wonders that South Africa has to offer. With 8 years of experience in the tourism industry, in particular as a field guide and lodge manager in the private lodge industry, this was a natural progression.

Whether you are planning a general tour or a photographic safari or even a 4x4 safari adventure, we can create the ideal itinerary for you and your budget. You provide us with all the relevant information and we take care of the rest so that you can enjoy your well-deserved holiday experience.

Apex 4x4 Safaris are ideal for family groups that want to escape the fast-paced life of the city and to reconnect with each other in the tranquillity of the bush. Covers lesser known, off the beaten path destinations where the terrain may require 4x4 driving. These routes are typically located in Limpopo and Mpumalanga provinces. Suitable for all levels of 4x4 experience. If required, we also assist our clients with the renting of equipment and vehicles from reputable suppliers.

Apex Photographic Safaris

Suitable for all levels of photographers. We limit the groups to a minimum of 4- and a maximum of 6 guests in order to provide each client with the best possible experience and personal attention. Where possible, we make use of small private camps in order to have a private camp experience and more flexibility in our daily program. We also assist our clients with the renting of cameras and lenses from reputable suppliers.
