Itinerary

1. DAY 1: PORT ELIZABETH to GORAH ELEPHANT CAMP - ADDO ELEPHANT NATIONAL PARK

   Depart from your accommodation or Port Elizabeth Airport to Gorah Elephant Camp situated in the Addo Elephant National Park on the outskirts of Port Elizabeth. Best to arrive in the morning for the afternoon game drive. Stay over with all meals and selected refreshments plus game drives in open vehicle. Complimentary sparkling wine and chocolates

2. DAY 2: GORAH ELEPHANT CAMP

   Spend another day in this beautiful reserve seeking sightings of the Big 5 as well as a variety of other animals.

3. DAY 3: GORAH ELEPHANT CAMP to KNYSNA

   In the morning before departure you are able to take a final early morning game drive before you are collected to start your Garden Route Tour. Stop at Tsitsikamma National Park for a visit to the Storms River Mouth. Plenty of activities available in this area which you can choose from after discussion with your guide but will be at own cost except for the entrance fee to the
   National Park. Visit Plettenberg Bay then we continue to Knysna stopping first at the
   Knysna Elephant Park to interact with these magnificent giants. Your next accommodation is situated in the tree tops of the Phantom Forest. Enjoy a spar treatment when suitable

4. DAY 4: KNYSNA

   After breakfast continue on to the coastal town of Knysna. Once in Knysna you have the option of taking a cruise over the lagoon to the Featherbed Nature Reserve for a 4x4 drive to the top of the Western “Head” and either returning with the 4x4 vehicle or take a leisurely walk back through the ancient Milkwood Forests to the restaurant (this is an optional extra and not included in rate). Visit the top of the Eastern Head viewpoint.

5. DAY 5: KNYSNA to OUDTSHOORN

   Leaving this beautiful town and lagoon we continue through Sedgefield, the Lakes District, stop at Dolphin View Point at Wilderness, through George and over the Outeniqua Pass to the Ostrich Capital of the world, Oudtshoorn. Visit an ostrich farm then enjoy some leisure time
   Stay over at the Rosenhof Country House or similar

6. DAY 6: OUDTSHOORN to FRANSCHOEK

   Before we leave the Karoo we visit the world famous Cango Caves and travel along the R62 to Calitzdorp for a wine tasting, through Ladysmith, Barrydale, over the Franschoek Mountains to Franschoek, situated in the heart of the Cape Winelands, on the outskirts of the Mother City of Cape Town. Wine tasting.

7. DAY 7: FRANSCHOEK to CAPE TOWN

   Today we do a full day Cape Peninsula Tour to the Cape Point Nature Reserve and Lighthouse. On our return we stop at Boulders Penguin Sanctuary.
   In the evening we stop at the top of Lions Head to view the sunset before visiting the V&A Waterfront for dinner at a restaurant of choice (own account)

8. DAY 8: CAPE TOWN

   Start with a City Tour and weather permitting a trip up Table Mountain (cableway own account), one of the Natural Wonders of the World. Visit the Gardens before being dropped off at the Cape Town Airport for your flight home.
