From the many golf course and estates in Gauteng, Blue Valley certainly stands out. The estate is idyllically located between Johannesburg and Pretoria and is named after the blue skies and country-like ambience that welcomes the city golfers.

Designed by Gary Player himself, this course is certainly no push-over. In fact, all 6752m's of it will gracefully challenge you and reward you whilst gently nourishing your golfing prowess. Your game at Blue Valley will indeed be nothing short of memorable.

Hazards include traditional bunkers, with their steep grass faces, water hazards and of course the wayward shot will end up in the rough – where you will find your ball nestled among the roots of indigenous Highveld trees – not where you want to be.

Over the length of the course you'll be taken over many interesting par 3, 4's and 5's but perhaps hole 10 is the most interesting of all as it shares it's green with hole 1 and creates the "largest green in Africa" and provides plenty of different pins. Visitors will be please to know that play here is open to the public. However, it is highly recommended that you book your accommodation in Midrand and your tee-off times well ahead to avoid disappointment. Visitors can expect the full bouquet of facilities and are welcome every day of the week.
