Elements Private Golf Reserve is located in an area that can only be described as ruggedly handsome, thanks to the combination of Waterberg hills, bushveld and the flourishing African wildlife. All this is just a one and a half hour drive north of South Africa's capital city Pretoria, in the province of Limpopo.

Elements is not just the emerald of the north, the course is highly regarded throughout the country. In fact, and thanks in no small part to Peter Matkovich's exquisite design, the Elements Private Golf Reserve have recently found themselves rated in the top ten golf courses in South Africa – no small accolade. As a visitor it is recommended that you book your stay in Bela Bela and your tee-off times well ahead to avoid disappointment.

Matkovich's approach to golfing is as follows “golf is not just about scoring; it is a walk in the park, an experience for all the senses and hours of incomparable therapy. Golfers should leave the course with an irresistible urge to return.” These are also the beliefs that shape his keen architectural eye and Peter has managed to create a truly special golf course here at Elements.

The course itself winds its way over wide fairways, lined by trees and is well bunkered. Three dams come into play over the length of the 18, enticing both your wayward shots and the wildlife. Wildlife species found on course include Kudu, Impala, Blue Wildebeest, Zebra, Blesbok, Red Haartebeest and Mountain Reedbuck.
