The Eastern Cape is full of beautiful landscapes and secluded treasures, of which the Fynbos Golf and Country Estate is certainly one. Named after the very special vegetation that is endemic to South Africa and, specifically, the Eastern and Western Cape provinces, it showcases the flora and fauna of this magnificent country.

The Fynbos Golf Course features hazards like bunkers, as well as tiered landing areas and well-defined tee boxes to ensure the smoothest game with a fair challenge. There is a glorious wetland that flows into a large catchment dam and the fairways are flanked by fynbos and wild grasses. All of this combines to provide an excellent backdrop to a day on the greens.

Thanks to its idyllic locale, the whole golf course has a veritable links look and feel to it. It is wonderful to walk the course, particularly in the temperate summers, springs and autumns of the Eastern Cape. However, there are golf carts for hire.

Visitors are welcome to the course any time, but the course is closed on Sundays and Mondays. There is an in-house pro shop here, as well as a clubhouse, bar and driving range. No metal spikes are permitted and proper golfing attire is required. Book your Garden Route accommodation and your tee-off ahead to avoid disappointment.

Its proximity to the Baviaanskloof Mountain Reserve Wilderness Conservancy means that visitors to the Fynbos Golf Estate are also able to explore the gorgeous reserve and its surrounds. There are various trails in the area, as well as great deep sea fishing opportunities.
