Located in Sun City, The Gary Player Golf Course is the measure, the standard and the very best golfing course in South Africa, if indeed not the entire African continent. The course has consistently outranked all other South African golfing estates since its inception in 1979 and has been host to the Nedbank Challenge since 1981. During this time every effort has gone into, not just its maintenance, but also regular improvements.

Designed by Gary Player this parkland gem has wonderfully knitted kikuyu fairways and bent greens that run true. It measures in at over 7000m (7105m to be precise) and is therefore one of the longest courses in the world. Meaning that if you want to keep up with the demanding course, a measure of stamina is recommended.

Accuracy too, as the championship course has incorporated every cunning measure available to keep you on your toes, be it devastating bunkers, clever water hazards or blind pins.

The fairways are immaculate and generally wide and although the course is known as “flat” don't let that deceive you into thinking it's easy. Top players from all around the world see the Gary Player Golf Course as a true test of golf and have all fallen for its tricks at some point along the eighteen.

That said, due to multiple tee options, the course can be enjoyed by all and though amateurs might find the going rough, the rewards are plentiful and there is a lot to be taken away from an experience here.

Facilities include bars, a chipping green, gym, halfway house, jogging tracks, locker facilities, mountain biking, pro shop, putting green, showers, squash courts, steam room, tennis courts, volleyball, water sports and more.
