About King Williams Town Golf Club
Set in the heart of South Africa's Eastern Cape, The King Williams Town Golf Course enjoys some of the greenest vegetation in Southern Africa, surrounded by dense, indigenous bush and those inhabited by an abundance of wildlife really lends to the feeling of playing out in the wild.
This Par 71 18 hole course has 6389m worth of undulating fairways and well-tended greens. The course is certainly an unforgettable one, especially to the great Ernie Els, who won his first tournament, as a pro, here back in 1991.
Visitors will be please to know that play here is open to the public. However, it is highly recommended that you book your hotel or accommodation in Amatola and your tee-off times ahead to avoid disappointment.
Facilities include a driving range, bar and golf carts to carry you over the run of the course. Fairways are lined with tall trees yet the rough is known to be forgiving should you go wayward here and there. All levels of golfer will find a day out at King Williams Town Golf Course enjoyable.
