About MECC Course One
Mount Edgecombe, formerly known as Hullet's Country Club, is a two course championship estate that go commonly by the names of Mount Edgecombe One and Mount Edgecombe Two. The estate is nestled in the rolling hills of KwaZulu-Natal just inland from the spectacular Umhlanga.
Designed originally by Sid Brews in 1936, course one was upgraded in 1992 and modernised by Hugh Baiocchi to meet USGA specifications and is one of the few courses' in South Africa that can boast this. The club has a wealth of history and natural beauty flowing through it.
With four tee options, golfers of any handicap can play on this prestigious South African golf course. The parklands style course has hosted a number of both professional and amateur golfing competitions and stands as a true test of golfing ability. Signature holes include the 13th through 16th and are locally known as the “Amen corner.”
As a first rate golfing estate you can expect the full range of first class facilities to be provided here.
Visitors will be please to know that play here is open to the public. However, it is highly recommended that you book your hotel or accommodation in Durban and your tee-off times ahead to avoid disappointment.
