About Mossel Bay Golf Club

Built on the tip of the peninsula, jutting out into the expanse of South Africa's warmer Indian Ocean, and a short walk from mighty cliffs, the Mossel Bay Golf Club was founded near the town's old aerodrome in 1905 and relocated to its present location in 1924.

Bob Grimsdell spent two years designing the course back then and in 1999 / 2000 the club was redesigned by Danie Obermeyer and entered the new millennium awash with incredible reviews.

The 18 hole par 72 is famous for its ocean views from every tee as well bird and animal life such as the springbok that sometimes roam into play. The new club has been designed to be very upmarket in architecture and yet regard with utmost importance, friendliness. Every effort has been made to ensure the players have the best time possible.

The undulating fairways and responsive greens have been built over a gentle landscape that provides ease of walking. The course itself caters to all levels of player and ability and visitors are very welcome.

Facilities are first class and include practice areas, restaurants and a clubhouse and you will find excellent accommodation in Mossel Bay, convenient for golfers.
