In an environment dominated by dry bush, rocks and scrubs the Oudtshoorn Golf Course is an oasis of lush fairways and tailored greens that keen golfers will appreciate. Located in the Klein (Small) Karoo region, the club has been protected from the truly harsh conditions of the full blown Groot (Large) Karoo Desert region and is indeed a paradise within an area of unique beauty. Golf rounds here are drier and warmer and can be a source of great comfort, even relief, in the savagely wet coastal winters!

Established in 1922 the club has deep roots and has even relocated once, back in 1957 and hasn't moved since. The Pepper, Palm and Bluegum tree's that line the Par 72 6210 metre course's fairways provide a challenging yet enjoyable play and there is a large water hazard in the form of a dam that will happily claim your wayward shots should you not take local advice of how to play it. The silky smooth greens run true and putting is excellent all round but should you come short on the fairways, the rough takes no prisoners and is very unforgiving.

For a challenge and completely different experience of golfing come and join us for a round of 18 or two in the world's Ostrich Capital and when you've had your fill there are plenty of other activities to engage in including the world famous Cango Caves.

Visitors will be please to know that play here is open to the public. However, it is highly recommended that you book your hotel or accommodation in Oudtshoorn and your tee-off times ahead to avoid disappointment.

Facilities include a pro shop, driving range, golf club hire, carts, pull trolleys, bar, halfway house and restaurant.
