About Princes Grant Golf Club
Formidable fairways, large pristine greens and svelte sandy bunkers sculpted into the earth alongside some of the most exciting holes that South Africa has to offer lie awaiting you on the warm and tropical North Coast of KwaZulu Natal, 75km from Durban on a scenic coastal trip.
Princes Grant Golf Course ranks in the top twenty golf estates in the country and is regarded as one of the very best coastal courses. Located at the mouth of the Mdlotane River which flows effortlessly across the sands into the Indian Ocean, Princes Grant offers sweeping and panoramic views of the ocean. Sunrises here, on the Dolphin Coast, are particularly special as more often than not large pods of Dolphins can be seen.
The Championship course designed by Peter Matkovich, is a blend of the Links and Parklands layout, emphasizing the best of both and offers a true challenge as well as reward. The signature 15th, a par 5, offers views that extend 60km south all the way to Umhlanga and the fairway which runs parallel to the Ocean is lovingly appreciated by the private homes that run alongside it.
Any respectful golfer should therefore set Princes Grant high on their own list of "must-plays and if it has not yet been escalated to the very top, we suggest you do so soonest. Please book your accommodation in Princes Grant and your tee-off time well in advance to avoid disappointment.
