Naturally adapted to the valley floor upon which it lies, the White River Golf Course is another example of how exquisite this part of South Africa is. The course is located at the feet of several private nature reserves and just one and a half hours' drive from the Kruger National Park. Such is the beauty of the course that holes 7 and 11 have been compared the likes of Augusta National.

The White River flows through the course, intersecting at many points and as such water is one the defining features here. Not only through the threat of losing strokes but also in keeping the grounds well-nourished and playable throughout the year.

The course was first opened in 1924 and has enjoyed an enigmatic history, which it proudly displays through the grounds today. Both Gary Player and Reg Taylor had a hand in designing today's course and such the course has grown to be respected and loved by all levels of golfer. The eighteen hole championship course plays to a length of 6036m with a rating of 71.

Visitors will be please to know that play here is open to the public. However, it is highly recommended that you book your hotel or accommodation in White River and your tee-off times ahead to avoid disappointment. Facilities include: a bar, board room, function facilities, halfway house, pro shop restaurant, golf club hire, golf carts and pull trolleys.
