The Grass Roof Coffee Shop and Farm Stall is perched on Seaview Road, where it is hard to miss for its dinkum grass-covered roof, complete with real, beautiful flowers. This gorgeous Port Elizabeth favourite is committed to providing organic, innovative meals and refreshments within a fun, relaxed vibe, complete with a modern edge.

The Grass Roof restaurant's menu is as dynamic as the people behind it and boasts all sorts of interesting combinations and approaches. Hungry visitors can enjoy hearty breakfasts, irresistible lunches, light meals, and sweet treats for tea. The custom-built pizza oven is put to perfect use to create delectable pizzas. There is also a range of hand-crafted cakes, fresh breads, and pastries to tempt diners.

There is a play area for little ones, far away from the road and well within the sites of the parents, who can relax and enjoy the fresh air and sunshine of the city outskirts. The outside dining area on the wrap-around deck or in the courtyard is perfect for clear, warm days. On other days, the indoor area, complete with a fireplace, is a must.

The views of the wilder side of Port Elizabeth are just lovely from the Grass Roof, particularly when being enjoyed with a hot cup of coffee, a glass of wine, or a tasty meal.

The farm stall is bursting with unique products and exciting finds. Fresh free-range eggs, herbs and vegetables that still carry the smell of the soil, craft olive oils and cheeses, honey, sweet delights, and syrupy fruits are all on offer. There are also pot plants, décor items and quirky pieces for the home scattered throughout the stall, making for great keepsakes and gifts.

The Grass Roof is situated on the corner of Heron Road and the New Seaview Road, and is open every day from 08h00 to 17h00.
