About Mannville Open Air Theatre
Every year the Port Elizabeth Shakespearean Festival stages an open-air production of one of the works of William Shakespeare, at the Mannville open air theatre in historic St George's Park, Port Elizabeth
The Mannville theatre at St Georges Park was established in the early 1970's by Bruce and Helen Mann, doyens of the theatre-world in Port Elizabeth. An annual production of Shakespeare, often linked to the current school setwork, has taken place since then 1972.
