For the past ten years, Krish Pillay has been exciting the palates of visitors to his wonderful Indian restaurant, Royal Delhi. The menu revolves around South Indian cuisine at its best, with traditional and unique recipes that have developed over time. Curries are the stars of the show, but there is also a decent selection of seafood as well as several meat dishes, for those who find hot spicy food too overwhelming for the taste buds.

For those who would like something without chilli in it, there are also salads on the menu, which are perfect followed by the excellent Sole Bon Femme - topped with prawns and asparagus. Alternatively, on chilly winter evenings, we would suggest opting for the Cream of Butternut & Cinnamon Soup and the braised Lamb Shank served with mash, gravy and vegetables.

Starters include the enticing Puree and Patha - a crisp pastry with spicy fried mudoombie leaves. Other starters include the home-made Samoosas and Fish Cakes which certainly live up to their reputation - both are served with a delicious piquant Royal Delhi sauce. The selection of curries is overwhelming in that you know that every one of them will be delectable. Favourites include the deboned Lamb or the Chicken and Prawn Curry, as well as the Curried Oxtail. Round it off with a Bombay Crush (a pink Oriental milkshake).
