About Visit the Horse Memorial
Visit the Horse Memorial on the corner of Russel and Cape Road. The Memorial commemorates all those horses that fell serving their masters during the Anglo-Boer War.
The Horse Memorial was erected and dedicated to the horses killed during the South African War (1899-1902). This magnificent statue is reputed to be one of only three memorials in the world dedicated to horses.
