About Stallery Gallery

The Stallery is a fabulous spot for art-lovers that are spending some time in Rosendal. This is a small town in the eastern Free State and is acclaimed for its abundance of art and galleries, making it a delightful destination for visitors from all over the world with an interest in creativity.

Stallery is Wim Rautenbach's gallery and workshop. Rautenbach is an acclaimed South African artist that has a very real and intimate love for this country and its beauty. The gallery specialises in fine art, community art and picture framing at reasonable prices. In addition to his own gorgeous pieces, Wim also showcases the work of a select group of local artists. Wim can often be found teaching and assisting these young artists in his studio, giving visitors to Stallery a sneak peek into a day in the life of this artist.

This gallery was established on a foundation of romance – the love affair between Wim Rautenbach and the unadulterated beauty of Rosendal. Once he had seen this town, he soon moved from the hustle and bustle of Gauteng to start a new life and art initiative here.

The permanent exhibition at the Stallery includes a number of stunning sandstone sculptures, which lend a new perspective to Rautenbach's work and are gorgeous additions to the home or garden. The craft shop is designed to provide a platform for the work of the local artists and contributors. It is also a great place to stock up on mementoes and gifts for friends and family back home.
