Knysna is, undoubtedly, one of the most treasured gems of the Garden Route in the Western Cape. It is a seaside resort town that offers stunning beaches, an expansive lagoon, mountains, forests, fynbos and more. There are a number of walking and hiking trails, as well as Jeep tracks and 4 x 4 trails. These take one through the local forests and mountains, showcasing the region off perfectly.

Scootours are non-motorised scooters for adults, and have almost no effect on their surrounds, making them particularly friendly to the environment as they emit no harmful gases and are not noisy. Children between three and nine years of age need to go as passengers on the Scootours of their parents or guardians, while everyone that is 10 years and older can take their own. Safety equipment, such as a helmet, is provided for each person.

The Scootour Knysna takes approximately two hours to complete and includes runs through pristine forests and along clear forest streams. Take in the awe-inspiring beauty and power of waterfalls, or the incredibly dizzying heights of yellowwood trees that are almost 900 years old.

Trips from Quay Four Restaurant at the Thesen Island Harbour Town to the tops of the hills are included in the package. From here, you will enjoy a really fun descent through the gorgeous fauna, to the backdrops of mountains, valleys and forests. Watch out for magnificent bird species, bushbuck or wild boar along the way.

Knysna is only about five hours' drive from Cape Town and three hours from Nelson Mandela Bay. It is popular as a watersports destination; particularly kite surfing, fishing and sailing.
