This seven-day trek begins at the historic Beervlei Hut, once a forest station, and winds its way eastward to the Harkerville Hut, near another forestry outpost. The full journey covers 108 kilometers, but hikers have the option to experience the trail in shorter segments of 2, 3, or 4 days, making it adaptable to different fitness levels and schedules. While the route is only accessible from west to east, each stage offers unique landscapes and natural encounters, ensuring a captivating experience no matter the distance you choose.

As you progress along the well-marked paths, the trail takes you deep into ancient indigenous forests, where towering yellowwoods, ironwoods, and stinkwoods reach skyward, creating a dense canopy overhead.
