The Craft Beer Library creates a platform for the story of the craft brewery to be heard and the unique appeal of each brew to be savoured. It promotes the craft beers and ciders of South Africa and pairs them with authentic South African dishes. By providing a place for both the brewers and the beer-drinkers to meet, the Craft Beer Library has created a hotspot for the growing craft beer industry.

Pilsner
A light thirst-quencher that is ideal for balmy African summers.

Blonde ale
Great for first-timers, this has an ideal combination of hops and malt.

Pale ale
Characterised by a citrus undertone to its hoppy flavours.

Amber ale
Look out for the rich caramel finish that goes perfectly with pizza and pasta.

Red ale
This malty beer has nutty flavours that are complex and rich.

Brown ale
Expect caramel, nuts, biscuit and toffee undertones from this malt-forward brew.

Porter
Drier and a little bitterer than a stout, this goes well with smoked and barbecued meats.

Stout
A stout is rich and full-bodied thanks to the high malt. It is great with a hearty braai.

In addition to these, there are crisp apple and pear ciders, which are just about perfect for a refreshing ice-cold drink on a hot day. These are a great combination of sweet, dry and crisp. The Craft Beer Library also offers some gluten-free varieties for those with gluten intolerances.
