About Ditsong Museum of Natural History
The Ditsong National Museum is one of the largest and most impressive natural history museums in South Africa.
The museum houses many collections in various fields including cultural history, geology, military history, archaeology, paleontology, flora and fauna and anthropology.
South Africa's history has been beautifully preserved and here you can see actual skeletons, skins, fossils and more land based wonders locked in time. If animals are what you are after, then be amazed at the dinosaur and whale skeletons and the sheer size of these magnificent creatures.
The collection of fish, reptiles, mammals and amphibians will entertain you and allow you to learn a lot about the origin of the species and interesting facts about their lifestyle and habits. Get hands on in the discovery centre and take pleasure in learning about nature and science in an enjoyable way. Why not join in on a night tour for a ‘Night at the Museum experience'.
