About Durban Tourist Junction
Feeling lost? Get down to the Tourist Junction at the old railway station now... you cant miss this large red brick, 19th century building on Monty Naicker Street. The old station itself is rather impressive and full of history attracting tourists from all over.
If you find your way to the second floor, the information centre is there with large maps of the city, places to visit and a team of people at hand ready to help with any questions the enthusiastic travelers may have.
If you walk around the building you are likely to find an array of quaint little shop, books on sale as well as audiovisual media. Kwazulu Natal Wildlife and National Parks Board reserves offices are situated in the building as well as an interesting African art centre. There is something here for everyone and a lot to learn, whether you are a tourist or a local.
