Drink in the breath-taking vistas of the mountains, hills, dams and pine tree plantations of the KwaZulu-Natal Midlands on one of the beautiful horse trails that wind their way across these landscapes. This region is characterised by rolling countryside, exquisite vegetation and a deep sense of history and heritage. And these are best savoured from the top of one of the well trained horses at Midlands Meander Horse Trails.

This venture, in the heart of Lidgetton, is run by Belinda, who has been working with these intelligent animals for around 40 years. She boasts Springbok colours, 4 different provincial colour selections, 5 Junior Springboks selected after her coaching, and a number of other acknowledgements. This means that, whether you are an experienced rider or a first-timer, you can rest assured that you are in capable, experienced hands. The horses are also well trained and responsive, adding to the safety and fun of the excursions.

The on-site waffle restaurant is a favourite amongst little ones and anyone with a sweet tooth. In addition, small groups can be hosted on these horse riding meanders, and accommodation can be arranged to make a whole weekend of your horse adventure.

Visitors can bring their own tour horses along, and box parking and pony pens are available at the Midlands Meander Horse Trails base.
