SA Surfari offers private surfing lessons to young and old, and lessons are conducted on the gorgeous KwaZulu-Natal coast. This company is situated in Umzumbe, which is a small beach town on the north-east side of the country. The warm waters of the Indian Ocean lap the shoreline and provide a gorgeous, comfortable setting in which to learn to surf.

Individual, focussed attention by the instructors is the key to ensuring that, no matter what your level of surfing expertise, you will have the opportunity to meet (and maybe even exceed) your expectations and goals.

Private or group lessons are conducted and include sections on understanding waves, safety and actual surfing techniques. Boards (from beginner to advanced levels) are provided and, if necessary, wetsuits are available to students as well. Children over the age of six years are accommodated, and advanced coaching is also on offer for expert surfers looking to up their game.

Thanks to its convenient locale, SA Surfari operates close to the province's capital city, Durban. In fact, it is only about an hour's drive from the King Shaka International Airport. This is not only a fun activity for tourists to South Africa, but also makes for awesome team building initiatives and family outings. Even large groups are handled professionally and efficiently.

Surf lessons are conducted by appointment only, any day of the week. SA Surfari conducts special surf trips from Durban to Jeffrey's Bay or Mozambique, or along the South Coast of the province. There are weekend and week-long packages with a pro coach available for the ultimate in surfari adventures.
