Hartbeespoort's Chameleon Village is the proud address of the Chameleon Brewhouse. This is a renowned family hotspot that combines great food, live entertainment, and excellent craft beers for the perfect day out. The restaurant has a chilled bistro style and the food is simple, but moreish.

The highlight, though, is the authentic micro-brewery, which was established after tasting genuine German Weiss in a small town called Weikersheim. Chameleon Brewhouse was established in 2009 with the vision of creating a world-class weiss. Today, it is famous for this and other delicious brews.

Its range of beers comprises

Weiss
This has a light body and distinct bubblegum and banana flavours. It is low on hops and has a cloudy look from the yeast.

Blonde Ale
An easy drinking beer, this ale is light with very subtle malt aromas and hints of fruit and honey.

Irish Red Ale
Caramel and toffee undertones make this slightly sweet option delicious on a hot day.

American Pale Ale
This is a great option for seasoned beer-drinkers. It is medium-bodied, has strong citrus and hops notes, and finishes off with a bitter aftertaste.

Indian Pale Ale
Citrus and fruity flavours underscore this medium-bodied beer, complemented by sweet malt flavours and a medium bitterness.

Oatmeal Stout
This rich, dark stout is all about a full body, roasted nose, and strong undertones of dark chocolate, nuts, oatmeal and coffee. Still, it is low on bitterness and has some fruitiness to it.

These are only some of the main craft beers available. There are often others that make their appearance at Chameleon, so patrons will need to see what is available at the time. These beers are available as full draughts, ladies' draughts, bottles, or on a taster tray; giving visitors the opportunity to sample an array and choose the ones they love most.
