The Main Street of Hermanus is home to Betty Blue Bistro. This vibrant, spacious eatery is characterised by its cheery yellow décor and the friendly smiles of the owner and staff.

The menu at Betty Blue is varied, and there is an increasing attention to Banting options, due to demand. It comprises a range of innovative breakfasts; such as pulled pork pancakes, bacon dippers with flapjacks, cinnamon oats and a muesli health tart. Of course, there are traditional favourites too; such as bacon and eggs, and eggs Benedict. Savoury pancakes with a variety of fillings, and chicken or beef burgers are deliciously tempting, and both options are available in Banting form too.

Other popular mains include the fish and chips, Caesar salad, rainbow salad, Betty's steak stack, and fish tacos. Lovely desserts are tempting and a little decadent. There is a pecan nut tart, carrot cake, and Banting cheesecake. Pancakes can be served with lemon meringue, Nutella, peppermint crisp, milk tart, or a variety of other sweet fillings and toppings.

There is a small, but comprehensive wine list ensuring that diners can sample the lovely South African wines that best suit their meal and personal preference. Freshly pressed juices (non-alcoholic) are also extremely popular, and are as healthy as they are tasty and colourful.
