Bloc 11 Climbing and Fitness is centrally situated in Paarden Eiland, Cape Town, and offers world-class climbing to locals and to visitors of the Mother City.

Bloc 11 is about an alternative way of exercising, while having massive amounts of fun. It is ideal for adventurers that are looking for a bit of a rush, for those wanting to target specific muscle groups for strength training, or for groups of friends or families wanting to have a laugh while keeping busy. It is also a fantastic team building exercise that is sure to create good channels of communication while testing leadership skills.

Bouldering is a favourite amongst many climbers. It is just about you and the wall, with no ropes or harnesses. Although the climb height does not exceed five metres, there is a soft mattress below to provide a safe landing for climbers that fall. Bloc 11 has more than 600 square metres of bouldering walls in this massive warehouse space. In addition, there are areas for weights and general fitness-related activities, a yoga studio, and a café that has plenty of delicious and wholesome treats.

Bloc 11 is ideal for beginners that may be trying bouldering for the very first time, or for pros that have chosen this as their pastime of choice.

Visitors should bring a pair of climbing shoes, if they have. Alternatively, these can be hired directly from Bloc 11 on arrival. For those that want some training, there are free beginner classes (all-inclusive) every Saturday morning, which comprise an hour's training and instruction with an experienced climber.

Paarden Eiland is less than 20 minutes from the V&A Waterfront and the City Bowl, and a mere 15.4 kilometres from the Cape Town International Airport.
