About Camberley Wines
Camberley is a small winery along the Helshoogte pass beneath the Groot Drakenstein Mountains. It was a winery which came about from the winemaker's passion for wine and morphed from a hobby to a full-time job.
They produce a small range of red wines (max. 1000 cases) from 5 acres of land. The cellar is a part of Nel's home and when visiting you may have to walk through the kitchen to get to the tasting room. All about the Victorian home are neat gardens, white roses and rows of vines. The best part if the cosy, intimate wine tasting experience which makes you feel like you're relaxing in the winemaker's lounger. Their Prohibition wine was the first screw cap enclosed wine and is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon oaked for 28 months. The 100% Shiraz wine is called The Cherry with divine cherry flavours on the palate.
To view more wine estates in the region see Bottelary Hills Wine Estates or see South Africa Wine Estates for a general overview and links to other wine producing regions.
