About The Darling Wine Shop
The Darling Wine Shop takes its name from the little West Coast town in which it is situated. This part of the South African province of the Western Cape is renowned for its quiet, unspoilt landscapes; uninterrupted vistas that erupt into colourful bloom every spring. Wild flowers bloom to form a terrain that far surpasses the beauty of even the most intricate of manmade mosaics.
The Darling Wine Shop combines the idyllic setting with excellent wines. In fact, the Cape Winelands are known by connoisseurs and wine-lovers the world over for their delicious flavours and huge variety.
The shop itself is a family-owned enterprise that is dedicated to showcasing the lovely wines coming out of Darling, as well as other local produce and some special wines that are close to their hearts. In addition, fresh seafood, which is conveniently sourced from the West Coast itself, includes oysters and mussels on a Friday morning, right after they have been picked from the rocks that line the shore.
Visitors are invited to sample the wine tasting packs and to purchase wines at cellar door prices at this spot. There are some specialities, as well as limited release wines on offer in this treasure in the heart of the West Coast.
Those visiting the Darling Wine Shop will notice that these fine flavours are backed by the owners' keen interest in authentic South African flavours and world-class quality, as well as by decades of priceless experience. This makes for a comprehensive, interesting tour that will be remembered, as well as some very special wines to enjoy back home with friends and family.
