About Diemersfontein Wine Estate
Diemersfontein planted its very first vineyard in the 1970's and its first cellar was built in 2001 which now produces award-winning estate wines. Majority of the grapes for Diemersfontein's wines are grown in their own vineyards on soils that have been described as within "the top 5% soil quality in the land", the rest of the grapes are from other vineyards in Wellington.
Come and join us in Diemersfontein's tranquil and breathtaking setting. We have a variety of wine for tasting, some of our popular selections are the ‘Carpe Diem', ‘Diemersfontein', ‘Thokozani', ‘Maiden's Prayer' and ‘For the Birds'. Diemersfontein is known for its beauty, informal elegance, and grace - an idyllic wine estate only 45 minutes drive from Cape Town and is situated near the Cape's famous Wine Routes.
Our spectacular Seasons restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Offering a variety of dishes using fresh, local produce that is in season, there is something for every palate. You can enjoy spectacular scenery from the restaurant where you can relax and enjoy good food, accompanied by excellent wine.
To view more wine estates in the region see Wellington Wine Estates or see South Africa Wine Estates for a general overview and links to other wine producing regions.
