This cinema, in partnership with Savanna, has secured the cool venue of the Fedisa Rooftop, also dubbed as the gardens in the sky.

Perched in the heart of the City Bowl, this building offers a trendy spot in which to enjoy movies galore with the people you love, and does not compromise on breath-taking views of the Mother City. Within this setting, beneath the peppering of stars, movie fans are invited to relax with snacks and a drink and enjoy one of the popular films that make up the 100+ movie line-up that The Galileo has on offer.

Those planning a night under the Cape sky on the Fedisa Rooftop can choose from popular favourites like Jaws, Grease, The Great Gatsby and The Notebook. At some of the other venues, film fanatics can choose from Searching For Sugar Man, Eat Pray Love, Sleepless in Seattle, Avatar, Top Gun, The Shawshank Redemption, The Vow, Pulp Fiction, Amelie, Moulin Rouge, Titanic, and The Karate Kid.

The Fedisa Rooftop is the venue for this unique experience on the third Friday of every month, from November to April. The doors open at 18h00 and movie-watchers are encouraged to come as early as possible to ensure that they get a good seat. Part of the Galileo experience includes a market of tasty food and fun drinks, as well as live music. So, before the movie starts at sunset, guests have some time to browse the stalls, relax with friends and soak up the vibe.
