Homespun Restaurant is an imaginative mix of modern and classic, simple and complex. This esteemed eatery is situated in Table View in Cape Town, amidst a number of fast-food franchises that simply do not compare to the delicious flavours and fresh approach to fine dining that the Homespun brand is all about.

The small menu means that each starter, main and dessert is beautifully crafted, based on a keen understanding of cuisine and a courageous desire to tempt, tantalise and push the boundaries. The menu includes starters like braised pork belly with apple puree, a baked camembert tart with a beetroot jam, and the flavoursome springbok carpaccio with pine nuts, mushrooms and parmesan.

The mains are an irresistible combination of textures and flavours. They include the tender beef sirloin on a roasted brown mushroom, slow-cooked oxtail stew with crispy polenta, hand-pulled lamb with gremolata, and a Thai green curry with mussels, white fish, prawns and crisp Patagonian squid. The vanilla and honey cheesecake, served with granadilla coulis, is decadent but refreshing, while the flourless chocolate torte with chocolate anglaise is a must for dedicated chocaholics.

The service at Homespun is efficient and friendly, and diners are made to feel at home amidst bold furnishings and daring finishes.

The bar serves a lovely selection of red and white wines, as well as beers, spirits and cocktails. There are virgin cocktails for diners who want all of the deliciousness with none of the after-effects. Diners can also bring their own wine for a small corkage fee.

Table View is less than 20 kilometres from the City Bowl and CBD of the Mother City, and just 22 kilometres from the Cape Town International Airport.
