Old Cape Café celebrates the beauty of the Western Cape, as it lies at the foot of the Hottentots Holland Mountain Range, with sprawling views of the magnificent False Bay just lying in wait to put on a spectacular performance for hungry travellers. Its home is in the charming harbour town of Gordon's Bay, which is conveniently situated only 50 kilometres from Cape Town and her international airport.

Old Cape Café is known for its home-style cooking and comfort food, as well as for its impressive variety of both sweet and savoury pancakes.

The breakfast menu is a cool collection of traditional favourites (bacon and eggs, omelettes, and French toast), and innovative dishes. The pancake range includes peppermint crisp, Nutella with a caramel nut drizzle, ham and mushroom with cheese, chicken a la king, savoury mince, and mixed berries. There are also a host of delicious tramezzinis, toasted sandwiches, and savoury croissants. Light meals include the pan-fried chicken livers in a creamy peri-peri sauce, a garlicky prego roll, and nachos with chicken, vegetables or ground beef. Those that feel like a hearty burger are spoilt for choice. For something completely different, try the OC's burger with melted cheddar, Greek yoghurt, atchar and rocket (or arugula). There are also Banting burgers available for those that are on low-carb diets.

The starters at Old Cape Café will tempt peckish travellers. Try the fried calamari strips, cheesy garlic snails, or spicy lamb liver wrapped in caul. Mains include boerewors and mashed potatoes, trinchado, beef fillet with a white wine cream, or a selection of delicious steaks and schnitzels.

Enjoy all of the delicious meals with a selection of craft beers, local wines and refreshing cold drinks; while drinking in gorgeous views. The décor has a rustic appeal that is inviting and homely, while the board and card games make it a place to sit back and get comfortable.
