Owner, Paul Kovensky has said that Pepénero, meaning “black pepper”, refers to the spice we add to both the social and culinary scene. "Our food is based on variety and simplicity. The philosophy seems to speak of understated luxury, echoed in every dish and every detail. The menu beckons with dishes such as expertly prepared sushi and rocket salad, or bowls of mussels in white wine sauce.

For mains, we recommend everything, but the Tagliata - sliced fillet topped with rocket, shaved parmesan, olive oil, balsamic and avocado, and the Pepenero, sautéed in honey, lemon and onion caught our eye. Vegetarians are well catered for with starters such as the parmesan crusted aubergine and the phyllo parcel of goats cheese and sundried cranberries, or spaghetti with asparagus, spring onion, pea and mint. Wickedly indulgent desserts include white Lindt chocolate cheesecake and Lindt chocolate & banana beignets.
