Platform 62 is a little emporium that includes a farm stall, restaurant and display area. It is situated along Route 62, about three hours' drive from Cape Town in the Klein Karoo. This part of South Africa is known for its stark, somewhat arid beauty and its endless horizons of unhindered fauna and flora.

Platform 62 is right on the main road and offers a fun stop-over that visitors of all ages can enjoy. The massive steam engine in the parking lot is just the beginning of this adventure, whether for those who know all there is to know about trains, or for little ones that are simply impressed by their magnitude.

The new Antiques and Collectibles extension is extremely popular, and provides stunning peeks into yesteryear for those who have a yearning for history. On display, visitors will find collectables and fascinating keepsakes that are exciting to explore.

The wine, brandy and mampoer boutique promises locals and visitors with a penchant for the good things in life a treasure trove of delicious flavours and outstanding quality. There are tastings held here so that visitors can get to sample the wonderful goods being created from local vineyards, and all the products are available at cellar prices, making for excellent gifts for those back home.

The Platform 62 Farm Stall has its shelves well stocked with homemade preserves, olives, jams, biscuits, dried fruit, and rusks.

There is a coffee shop on site, which is a fantastic stop for those on the road, and a popular retreat for locals too. Delicious teas and coffees are on offer, as well as light and tasty meals. The lawn is irresistible for little ones that want to stretch their legs and the young-at-heart who like to feel the soft grass under their feet.
