When visiting the acclaimed Cape Point Vineyards, it will come as no surprise that it has been awarded dozens of times and by many different institutions for its excellent quality wines. The picturesque vineyards are located on Chapman's Peak Drive in Noordhoek, just over 20 kilometres away from the Western Cape Province's capital city, Cape Town.

Cape Point Vineyards' first vines took root in 1998 and it was declared a Wine of Origin District at the same time. Since then, it has won three International Trophy Awards for Best Wine in the World in its class at the Decanter World Wine Awards, 12 Old Mutual Trophy Awards, 12 Five Star Ratings from Platter's, Most Successful Producer in 2008 by Platter's, and a number of 90+ Wine Spectator Ratings and Robert Parker's Wine Advocate Ratings.

Thanks to its idyllic setting between the icy blue of the Atlantic Ocean and the warmer False Bay coast, the winery boasts all-round views of the mountains, fynbos and oceans, in addition to perfect wine-making conditions.

Wine tastings allow visitors to sample some of the flavours that have earned these vineyards worldwide recognition. Wines are also available for sale so that they can be enjoyed at leisure. The restaurant pairs these wines with excellent cuisine to get the most out of the flavours and setting. The restaurant's menu exudes a definite Mediterranean style, which is hearty and takes advantage of delicious, fresh ingredients.

There is a pop-up sushi bar in the Bedouin tents on Saturdays and Sundays, as well as cheese and charcuterie platters in the restaurant. A variety of picnic baskets can be pre-ordered and enjoyed at the vineyard to finish off this scenic experience. Picnics are available from 12h00 to 18h00 from Wednesday to Sunday, but only until 15h00 on Thursdays.
