About Teubes Family Wines

This is not called a family wine for nothing. To this day the Tuebes Family Wines are run by three generations. Grandfather Sybrand Tuebes, his son- Johan and his grandson, Sybrand Teubes all run the winemaking business from their cellar in Houmoed.

The cellar was first established in 2011 and is equipped with modern winemaking machinery to ensure top-quality wines are produced. All the magic happens here from the grape processing to the labeling and bottling of these fine wines. When tasting the wines, you can also enjoy the luxurious French inspired design of the tasting room or host a private function within its stylish walls. To taste five wines, it will cost you R20 per person.

Olives grown on the farm are also sold in the tasting room and cheese platters are available to nibble on with your selection of wine. Their ranges include Tuebes Wines, Malkopbaai and Sir Lambert.

The Malkopbaai Sauvignon Blanc has an expression of green aromas such as green pepper, asparagus, green peas and cut grass which all add to it being an award winning wine. Admiral Sir Lambert was the commander of the Cape Town Naval Station in the 1820's and had the town of Lambert's Bay named after him. The Sir Lambert Vineyard produces superb Sauvignon Blanc and Shiraz grapes.
