About The Daily Coffee Café Brackenfell
Brackenfell is one of the beautiful Mother City's northern areas, nestled in the foothills of Cape Town's many mountains and at the gateway of the Cape Winelands. Here, in the Okavango Crossing Shopping Centre, is The Daily Coffee Café, where locals meet for a catch-up over a steaming latté or a creamy cappuccino, while international visitors stop here for a break between adventures.
The Daily is a national franchise that has its roots in Cape Town. The menu is reviewed every so often to keep it current, interesting and comprehensive for visitors with all sorts of preferences.
The breakfasts on offer include some traditional favourites (like bacon and egg, muesli and yoghurt, and three-egg omelettes with a variety of optional extras). But, there are also other delicious options like the eggs Benedict, breakfast burger, flapjacks (sweet or savoury), French toast (sweet or savoury), the breakfast bruschetta with a variety of fillings, and the breakfast wrap with avo, bacon, cheese, eggs, tomato salsa and rocket.
Light lunches, burgers and salads are also on offer. Try the savoury pancakes, pie of the day, penne pesto salad with bacon, or the chicken schnitzel with mushroom or cheese sauce. Gourmet sandwiches are a must for hungry patrons; and include a chilli mayo, pulled pork, gypsy ham and cheese pressed sandwich; and a tuna salad with egg and avo open sandwich, amongst others.
Delicious burgers on The Daily's menu include the mushroom burger, Cajun chicken burger, and pulled pork burger.
Banters and others that choose to follow a low-carb eating plan are well rewarded at The Daily. There is moussaka, a beef tower with veggies and mushroom sauce, stuffed bell peppers with mince and mushrooms, and a Cajun chicken breast on a cauliflower purée.
Brackenfell is about 30 minutes' drive from the CBD of Cape Town and its many attractions; including Table Mountain and the V&A Waterfront.
