About Wolfgat Nature Reserve
Wolfgat Nature Reserve covers 248 hectares and was declared a Reserve in 1986. The site of the reserve which dates back over 40 000 years is rich in fossils and now protects the spectacular coastline and limestone cliffs along Baden Powell Drive. These cliffs offer beautiful, interrupted views of the False Bay coastline.
The Wolfgat Nature Reserve itself is the largest on the Cape Flats and you may be lucky and spot a porcupine or grysbok.
You can enjoy picnicking, fishing at designated areas (permit required), coastal birds, and swimming in the reserve.
