About Acorn House
Acorn House is a charming guesthouse in Cape Town where the service is attentive and personal but not obtrusive. The house is old in years but by no means in time and we are praised for having the second best breakfast in town. The location in Oranjezicht, a prime residential suburb of Cape Town at the foot of Table Mountain, is exceptionally convenient.
Accommodation
Acorn House has cosy bedrooms are designed for you to have a lovely night's rest, they are filled with natural light offering traditional furnishings and also provide a small working desk space. Each room has an en-suite bathroom with a shower over the bath, liquid soap and skin lotion, shampoo and shower gel, bathrobes, a hair dryer, USB wall plug and adapters. There are different bed configurations for the bedrooms and family suites and all offer a view, whether it is of the garden, city or the mountain.
The experience and atmosphere is laid-back; join us and take a moment to unwind in the lounge featuring the house's original wooden flooring and working fireplace in the winter months. In summer enjoy the curated gardens, swimming pool, sun deck or any of the outside spaces, in this lovingly preserved home away from home while sipping away on some South African wines.
Breakfast
Enjoy the abundant breakfast which guests say is the 2nd best in the city. In summer, breakfast is served 'al-fresco at the pool, also a great place to chill during the day.
